What level do I need in C4D to follow the course?

In order to follow the course you need to be familiar with both softwares, After Fx and C4D. At least intermediate level. This course won’t teach you the basics. It will take you from your basic to the advanced level.

Can I follow the course using Octane?

If you are in an intermediate level, you can. You won’t lose the lessons about lights because you will learn how to illuminate different spaces, how to create depth and make the main elements of the scene pop out. Later you will have set up your own render and passes.

The same applies to other render engines as well.

What Cinema 4D version do I need?

Cinema 4D R20+

Is the course about modeling?

The course does not dive deep into modeling. Complex models like the car and some other elements of the scene are already made. But it uses great modeling techniques to build the scenarios and it gives you a sense of the variety of great modeling tools in C4D. The goal is to combine all the elements creatively to tell the story.
